Jordan Harang brings color and cosmos to Bourg-la-Reine
In April 2025, Jordan Harang transformed the outdoor sports and calisthenics field of Bourg-la-Reine into a vast open-air artwork. Over the course of an intensive week-long project, the artist created a panoramic mural across two surfaces — the perimeter wall and the retaining wall — turning them into a unified, immersive visual landscape.
True to his artistic universe, Harang explores themes of cosmology, quantum physics, biology, metaphysics, vegetation, and the mutation of matter, all intertwined in a reflection on our place in the cosmos.
The result is a mural more vibrant and contrasted than in his previous works, where organic forms blend with abstract geometry, offering a bold and evocative reading of the urban space.
Throughout the week, local residents — athletes, children, passersby — regularly came to observe, engage, and exchange with the artist. This spontaneous interaction brought a collective and participatory dimension to the work, rooted in shared curiosity and creativity.
By choosing to install this artwork in a place of physical activity and community life, the City of Bourg-la-Reine reaffirms its commitment to **making contemporary art accessible to all, turning an ordinary wall into a space for contemplation, inspiration, and imagination.
